To the moon…

My son is 3 years old.  He’a a little snuggleboy…so darn adorable.  One night we were watching his favorite show and telling eachother how much we love each other…… He said “Daddy,  I love you all the way to the back of the moon!”  LOL!!  He meant to say he loves me to the moon and back,  but I almost fell off the couch laughing as he sat there smiling like he knew what he said….little charmer!  LOL

Crazy kid quote – They didn’t have math back then…

My daughter who is in third grade had a question on her math worksheet. After looking at them I realized when I went to school we didn’t do the problems that way so I told her to go ask her sister who is two years older. A few days later when looking at the worksheet that she brought home from school I noticed a note attached to it in my daughters handwriting and it said: “I have a question with numbers 21, 22 and 23 and my mom when she was little in her school she didn’t learn multiplication and division. Your friend, Hailey.” — Kristina Otte

Crazy kid quotes – Dreams of chocolate

Hadlee just turned 6 in December. We had gone out for supper at one of the restaurants here in Valley City. She had been a good girl and so we decided to have desert. “Gramma, are you old?”

My oldest grand daughter at age 4 was staring intently at me.
“Gramma, are you old?” she asked me
I was about 54 at the time and said “I am not really old..why do you ask?”

“Well,” she replied, “your face has a lot of wrinkles”

She was always a truth teller. (Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make Ye miserable!!!!)

Kid’s quote – Clouds and sugar

When my daughter was about 3 1/2, I had to travel to Grand Forks for work for a couple hours.  I decided to have her ride with for the trip up and back.  On the way, we started to get close to the Crystal Sugar plant on Interstate 29 so I started explaining how sugar was made out of sugar beets and that that building is where they make it, carefully explaining the whole process She pauses for a couple seconds and says, “And they make clouds there too?”  as the exhaust from the smokestacks billowed into the sky. She’ll be 12 next week, and we still laugh whenever we pass by a factory making “clouds.”

Kid quote – If today is tomorrow, what was yesterday?

My youngest son was very excited about his upcoming birthday. Starting 4- 5 days before his birthday, he would get up every morning, run into my bedroom and ask me if it was his birthday yet. Of course, I always responded, that it was in a few days. The morning before his birthday, he again ran in and asked me if it was his birthday, I replied,” No buddy your Birthday is tomorrow.” Finally, the morning of his Birthday, he came running in my room: “Is it tomorrow today?” — Mike Montgomery
